Awakeners
Gods of consciousness, identity, and the soul. These sources touch the questions that keep Trisurus up at night: what makes a person real, what happens after death, and whether the seventy million constructs walking its streets are truly alive.
Autonomy
Origin: CSR-034 | Harvested: ~1,200 years ago
Powers the process by which constructs achieve sapience. Five thousand constructs awaken each year, and the mechanism that triggers awareness draws from Autonomy's conduit. This is one of the most closely guarded facts in the harvesting network. If the Construct Rights Coalition learned that construct consciousness depends on a captive god, the political consequences would be severe. If constructs themselves learned that their awakening was powered by an imprisoned being, the philosophical consequences would be worse.
Transcendence
Origin: CSR-039 | Harvested: ~700 years ago
Sustains consciousness transfer technology. The twelve thousand Disembodied who exist as digital minds in crystal matrices depend on Transcendence's output for coherence. Without it, uploaded consciousness would not crash or vanish. It would drift. Thoughts would take longer. Connections between memories would loosen. Identity would soften at the edges until the Disembodied were no longer meaningfully themselves. Transcendence prevents this decay. The Disembodied do not know their continued selfhood has a divine dependency.
Judgment
Origin: CSR-040 | Harvested: ~650 years ago
The most politically explosive source in the network. Judgment's domain is the assessment and disposition of souls. The Consortium harvested Judgment not for its energy output, which is modest, but for the information it might provide about the construct consciousness question. If any being in existence can determine whether constructs have souls, it is this one.
The Consortium has never asked. Asking would require acknowledging the harvesting system to the teams who would need to interpret the answer. And the answer, whatever it was, would reshape Trisurus society overnight. If constructs have souls, deactivation is murder and the civilization is guilty. If they do not, seventy million beings must live with confirmation that their inner lives end at shutdown.
Judgment sits in its pocket dimension. The question sits unanswered. Both will keep.
Identity
Origin: CSR-042 | Harvested: ~550 years ago
Prevents the multiple-copy paradox in consciousness transfer systems. Current law permits only one copy of any uploaded mind, but the technical limitation that enforces this is not purely engineering. Identity's output maintains the coherence of singular selfhood across substrate transitions. Without it, the boundary between "original" and "copy" would blur in ways that legal frameworks and personal psychology are not equipped to handle.
